2022 Knights of Columbus Cornhole tournament

A few months ago, St. Joseph Church in Renovo discovered serious problem, when part of the ceiling had falling. Upon inspection, it was discovered that the plaster in the church was deteriorating. The cost to repair the plaster is substantial. So, the Knights of Council #542 stepped up to help raise money for the repairs to the plaster. The Knights sponsored a Cornhole Tournament. The tournament was a great success! With donations from local businesses and clubs, concession sales, raffles, and the generosity of the Renovo Community, the Knights were able to raise nearly $2,300 for the church. The Knights will be donating all proceeds to the church’s ongoing Capital Campaign Project.

The Knights would like to thank all those who donated, gave their time, and those that supported the tournament by playing. May God Bless you all!

KNIGHTS At work in the Renovo Community

The Knights of Columbus, Council #542, part of the St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Renovo, spent an early Saturday morning helping the Renovo Little League clean up their fields and prepare for the 2021 season. The fields at the Memorial Park in Renovo, were in desperate need of cleaning, especially with missing last season, due to the pandemic. The Knights of Columbus volunteered to help get the fields ready for the kids. The main focus of the day was helping with cleaning up leaves and debris around the fields. This clean up would make it easier for mowing the fields and preparing the infields.

The Knights of Columbus of St. Joseph's Parish has seen a resurgence of membership in the past two years. The group has been part of the Renovo Community since November 11th, 1900. With the reformation of the council, they are focused on giving back to St. Joseph's Church, the Renovo community, and worldwide missions.

The Knights recently repainted the conference room at the St. Joseph’s Rectory. This is part of a bigger project to increase education at St. Joseph’s.
